I am fighting for a greener New York. We need more green space all over the city. This is good for families, nature and the economy.

PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR POSITION ON HOW THE CITY PRIORITIZES PUBLIC OPEN GREEN SPACE AND HOW COMMUNITY GARDENS ARE OFTEN PITTED AGAINST THE NEED FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING.

The city puts green space last because the powers that be don't value it. They don't want to fight for green space because it isn't as sexy and doesn't make them money in the same way. I am fighting so hard for green space so that people have a place that feels like their own not just a city for buildings and cars.

WHAT IS YOUR POSITION ON THE ALTERNATIVE SITE SOLUTION THAT WOULD USE 388 HUDSON — A GRAVEL- FILLED, CITY-OWNED LOT — TO PROVIDE UP TO 5X THE AMOUNT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND ADDITIONAL PUBLIC OPEN SPACE WHILE SAVING ELIZABETH STREET GARDEN?

We need more options for affordable housing that is actually affordable. A lot of times the tags say affordable housing only to cover for the fact that the housing isn't affordable at all. We need green space that isn't pitted against true affordable housing. Thats why I'm committed to saving this Garden, creating more like it, as well as ensuring housing for all in NYC.

ESG CURRENTLY HAS A PENDING LAWSUIT TO SAVE THE GARDEN LED BY ATTORNEY NORMAN SIEGEL. IF THE ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED BEFORE THE CHANGE IN ADMINISTRATION, ONCE IN OFFICE, HOW WOULD YOU WORK WITH ESG TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE ELIZABETH STREET GARDEN?
